Association Committees
Advisory Committee
An Advisory Committee is formed annually by the Board of Directors. The
Committee is chaired by a Board assigned Director and is encouraged to
assist each of the Executive Officers and Directors of the corporation
and serve upon other committees that the Board of Directors may deem appropriate.
Membership of the Advisory Committee will consist of Past Presidents and
other active, dedicated members of the corporation. The Director chairing
the Committee reports directly to the Board on activities of the Committee
and carries out assignments of the Board of Directors.
Public Affairs Committee
A Public Affairs Committee is formed annually by the Board of Directors.
The Committee is chaired by a Board assigned Director. The Director chairing
the Committee reports directly to the Board on activities of the Committee
and carries out assignments of the Board of Directors. The Committee consists
of at least three members, including the Director. The Public Affairs
Committee represents the corporation with other water associations, is
responsible for the image of the corporation in the public eye, tracks
relevant water industry issues and reports to the Board on any potential
impacts to the industry, tracks legislation relevant to the water industry
and reports to the Board on any potential impacts to the industry, and
assembles educational program seminars as directed by the Board of Directors.
The Director chairing the Committee may report to the general membership
on progress of legislation or industry issues.
Nominating Committee
A Nominating Committee is formed annually by the Board of Directors. The
Committee is chaired by a Board assigned Director. The Director chairing
the Committee reports directly to the Board on activities of the Committee
and carries out assignments of the Board of Directors. The Committee should
consist of at least three members, including the Director. The Nominating
Committee reviews and recommends potential candidates to the Board of
Directors for the positions of Director, Secretary/Treasurer and Vice
President. In addition to these duties, the Nominating Committee provides
on-going review of the corporation’s By-Laws and development of
the membership.
Vendors Fair Committee
A Vendors Fair Committee is formed annually by the Board of Directors.
The Committee is chaired by a Board assigned Director. The Director chairing
the Committee reports directly to the Board on activities of the Committee
and carries out assignments of the Board of Directors. The Committee should
consist of at least three members, including the Director. The Vendors
Fair Committee assembles the annual Vendors Fair to be held in the month
of September.
Regular Programs Committee
A Regular Programs Committee is formed annually by the Board of Directors.
The Committee is chaired by a Board assigned Director. The Director chairing
the Committee reports directly to the Board on activities of the Committee
and carries out assignments of the Board of Directors. The Committee should
consist of at least three members, including the Director. The Regular
Program Committee assembles regular programs that are pertinent to the
water industry, obtains and briefs speakers on program protocol, schedules
the program as directed and ensures that all visual aids and sound systems
are in place and functioning on the day of the program. Regular programs
are standing programs held at the normal meeting location and typically
are the January, February, March, April, May, July, August, October and
November programs.
Special Programs Committee
A Special Programs Committee is formed annually by the Board of Directors.
The Committee is chaired by a Board assigned Director. The Director chairing
the Committee reports directly to the Board on activities of the Committee
and carries out assignments of the Board of Directors. The Committee should
consist of at least three members, including the Director. The Special
Programs Committee assembles the annual Christmas Meeting to be scheduled
in December, one annual field trip to be scheduled during the month of
June and the annual Golf Tournament to be scheduled during month of May.
Other field trips may be arranged by the Committee as directed by the
Board of Directors.
